Operational Training
2017-02-15
Getting your 100 hour commercial license is of course the first step to getting your dream flying job. A very important step but by no means the last.

Companies looking to hire pilots aren't looking for your license, they know you wouldn't be applying for a flying job if you didn't have a license. They are looking for somebody they can work with. Somebody with a good work ethic who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. An operator that feels they can send you out to the field that week and know you can take care of their machine gives you a great start to getting that first job.

Training for the operational environment is a big part of our course at Rotorworks.

We get students involoved in operations whenever possible. Here are a few operations our students have helped us with;

  • Gassing up ASTARS and JetRangers from drums;
  • Putting winter covers on;
  • Getting machines ready for customers;
  • Ensuring they are properly preheated before start.
Here are a few of our students helping Synergy Aviation get their ASTAR ready for a flight.
